National Adult Support and Protection Awareness Day Resources
To mark National Adult Support and Protection Awareness Day earlier this week, organisations across Falkirk District have been raising awareness of the different ways vulnerable adults may be at risk of harm, and how people can report concerns if they think something isn’t right.
Save the Date: “What Money Advisors Need to Do Their Jobs”
Money Advice Scotland (MAS), in partnership with Citizens Advice Scotland, StepChange, and Christians Against Poverty, have announced a new event where money and debt advisers can share their experiences, successes, and challenges. Taking place on Thursday 2nd May, 10am – 3pm in Edinburgh, “What Money Advisers Need To Do Their Jobs” aims to provide space for colleagues in the money and debt advice sector.
Young People’s Sexual Health Services Drop-In Clinics
Central Sexual Health has announced new drop-in clinics across Forth Valley, as part of their Young People’s Sexual Health Services. The drop-in clinics are now available 4pm – 7pm, at Clackmannanshire Community Healthcare Centre on Wednesdays, Falkirk Community Hospital on Thursdays, and Stirling Health & Care Village on Fridays.

Interactive Music Extravaganza at Forth Valley Sensory Centre
Forth Valley Sensory Centre will be hosting another live music event, taking place Friday 22nd March, 1pm – 3pm. The Interactive Music Extravaganza will be blind and D/deaf accessible, and a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter can be booked for those in need of one. Tickets are £5, and include refreshments; booking in advance is required.
“The Future is Peer – Live on Air” Online Event
The Scottish Recovery Network (SNR) has opened bookings for their free “The Future is Peer – Live on Air” online event, taking place on Wednesday 20th March, 11am – 4pm.
Scottish Gas Information Event
Scottish Gas will be hosting an event at Falkirk Rugby Club on Saturday 16th March, 10am – 4pm, to help local people learn how they can make energy efficiencies in their homes and cut energy costs. The event will take place at Falkirk Rugby Club, Dorrator Road, Camelon, FK2 7YW.
Free Family Science Day
The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Scotland, and their Growing Together volunteers, have organised a free Family Science Day event for British Science Week 2024, looking at the science helping greenspaces thrive, from back gardens to local woodlands. The Family Science Day takes place on Saturday 16th March, 10am – 1pm, at the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre, Wood Street, Grangemouth, FK3 8LH, and will feature various interactive activities in and around TCV’s garden space.

Money Advice Scotland (MAS) is running a number of free sessions in March, including 3 webinars for students, as part of Student Talk Money Week (STMW) 2024, and their updated “Train the Trainer: An introduction to Financial Wellbeing”.
