Following on from our positive Funders Fayre event, we are holding Funding Surgeries at our offices in Callendar Business Park to offer support and guidance to groups and organisations looking to pursue funding and to support them in their next steps.

Universal credit is replacing the support families receive to pay their child care costs through tax credits. Child Poverty Action Group in Scotland (CPAG), One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) and the Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) are hosting a seminar to discuss what this will mean for childcare services and the families who use them. The seminar will take place on Monday 27th March, 10am – 1pm.

The presentation will take place 12.30pm – 1pm, and as places are strictly limited, booking is essential.
Asset Transfer: An Informed Choice is being hosted by CVS Falkirk specifically for Falkirk and District Community Centre/Hall Associations, Committees and Boards, at Reddingmuirhead Community Hall on Wednesday 1st March, 12:30pm – 3pm.

Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre have released dates for their 2017 Power of Attorney information sessions for carers. The sessions will focus on what happens if the individual being cared for becomes incapacitated and unable to make decisions on their own, how Power of Attorney can help, and how to apply for Legal Aid to cover or subsidise any associated costs.
