We have been amazed, but not surprised, by the overwhelming response to support Ukrainians here in our Falkirk communities. Just as you all did throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and to support Syrian and Afghan refugees, we have seen people and groups come together to help people however they can, whether it’s donating food, clothes or supplies, organising collections, or raising awareness.
As the Falkirk Herald says, “The real shining lights are the people of the Falkirk area who are donating goods or volunteering to collect and ship them out.” Thank you all for your initiative, your creativity, and for showing just how incredible our area is.

As everything is moving so quickly – in huge part thanks to people’s generosity – response across Falkirk has been a social media co-ordinated effort; we are working to share as much of these efforts and updates as possible across our own social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
However, if you are not on social media and would like to get involved in the support efforts, please contact us by email: info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
