The Falkirk Plan: Survey on Older People, Loneliness and Isolation
As part of their engagement with local people on the Falkirk Plan, the Falkirk Community Planning Partnership (CPP) is looking to hear from older people, their carers and families, on social isolation and loneliness. They have designed a short survey to gather people’s feedback, and what they think should be done to tackle these issues.
The Falkirk Plan: Engaging with Ethnic Minority Communities
As part of their engagement around the Falkirk Plan, Falkirk Community Planning Partnership is now particularly looking for the views and perspectives of people from ethnic minority communities, especially around the additional and unique issues and challenges they have experienced. They will host an online meeting on Thursday 10th June, 7pm – 9pm, for this purpose.
School Age Payment Applications Open
Applications are now open for the School Age Payment. Eligible parents of children aged 4 and 5 years old are encouraged to apply for the financial support, worth over £250, which can be used for anything needed. The School Age Payment is open to families who receive tax credits or certain benefits, and have a child who was born between Tuesday 1st March 2016 – Tuesday 28th February 2017. The deadline for applications is on Monday 28th February 2022.
Grangemouth Flood Prevention Scheme Community Sessions
Dates have been announced for online community engagement sessions regarding the Grangemouth Flood Prevention Scheme (GFPS), with the first sessions taking place on Tuesday 15th June. There will be 2 online overview sessions of the entire flood protections scheme, taking place on Tuesday 15th June at 1pm, and on Tuesday 22nd June at 5:30pm. There will also be 5 separate community online sessions for people in the Grangemouth, Carron, Carronshore, Wholeflats and Langlees areas.
