Money Advice Scotland has released its events schedule for June 2021, with all events, training and sessions free to attend. Upcoming events include “Money Works Webinar: Mortgages” on Thursday 17th June, and “Train the Trainer: Digital Delivery of Financial Wellbeing” on Monday 14th June and Tuesday 24th June. Money Advice Scotland also runs virtual interactive “Money Goals” workshops for service users, which cover a range of topics and can be tailored to any group.

Thursday “Care with Confidence” Sessions: Next Dates
The next Thursday “Care with Confidence” sessions from Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre will take place: “Exercise for the Brain – Learning a Second Language” on Thursday 17th June, and “Walking Aids” with the NHS Forth Valley REACH team, on Thursday 24th June. As before, sessions are via Zoom, 10:30am – 12:30pm.
ICU Heart and Sole Girls Fundraising
Nurses from Forth Valley Royal Hospital’s ICU department are climbing Ben Nevis to fundraise for Falkirk District’s Mental Health Association (FDAMH). The “ICU Heart and Sole Girls” have worked throughout COVID-19, and have joined a number of others in raising money for third sector groups and organisations across Falkirk and Forth Valley.
Roundtable Discussion Event: Impacts of Leaving the EU
CVS Falkirk, Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) and Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) will be hosting an online Roundtable Discussion event for our local third sector, to provide feedback to Scottish Government on the impacts of leaving the EU. The Roundtable Discussion will take place on Wednesday 23rd June, 10am – 11:30am.
EU Settlement Scheme: Local Resources and Support
The EU Settlement Scheme closes on Wednesday 30th June. Scottish Government has relaunched their “Stay in Scotland” campaign, encouraging EU, EEA and Swiss citizens to apply so they can carry on living, working, and studying in Scotland. A range of resources and information are also available for people applying to the EU Settlement Scheme, and those supporting them, including local support, and information from both Scottish Government and the UK Government.
