Link Academy (part of LinkLiving) is running an interactive summer programme for young people aged 14 – 19 years old in Falkirk, beginning Monday 5th July, until Thursday 19th August. There will also be sessions for parents. Places are booked on a first come, first served basis.

Forth Valley Flyers Taster Session for New Athletes and Volunteers
Forth Valley Flyers is holding a taster session for new athletes and volunteers, on Sunday 4th July at the Grangemouth Athletics Stadium, Kersiebank Avenue, Grangemouth, FK3 0EE. Forth Valley Flyers is an athletics club for people with physical, sensory, or learning disability, providing athletics training for young people and adults in track and field. Their volunteers (including 2021’s Young Volunteer of the Year!) are essential to the club, and they are always keen for new people to get involved. To comply with current COVID-19 guidance, those looking to attend must book in advance, and will be given a time to attend.
SGN CO Safety Competition: Closing Soon
SGN is looking for young artists to take part in their Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety Competition and raise awareness of the dangers of CO. To take part, children must be 5 – 11 years old and submit a piece of art warning people of the dangers of CO. Artwork can be any form of media. All artwork must be submitted to SGN by Wednesday 30th June to be included in this year’s competition.
COVID-19 Protection Levels and Guidance Update
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed there will be no changes to the current COVID-19 protection levels in place across Scotland until Monday 19th July. However, from Monday 28th June, changes to rules for weddings and funerals will take effect. Scottish Government has also updated Scotland’s Strategic Framework, which sets out how and why their COVID-19 response strategy will change in light of new conditions, and what a move beyond Level 0 will look like.
TCV Scotland Volunteer Officer Voluntary Roles
The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Scotland are looking for 2 Volunteer Officers (VOs) to join them, one in Grangemouth and one in Stirling. These are both voluntary roles where the volunteer’s travel and training expenses will be covered, and the minimum commitment required is one day per week, for 6 months. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 30th June.
