Through the Scottish Sport Fund from Aldi, grants of up to £2,500 are available to organisations in Central Scotland for sporting activities for the benefit of people in the local community. Applicants must be located where there is currently a participating Alid store. Central Scotland stores include: Falkirk, Polmont, Stirling, and Alloa. The deadline for applications is Monday 19th July.

Place-based Capital Funding: Public Voting Now Open
Public voting on the Community Choices Place-based Capital funding projects is now open, with voting closing on Friday 16th July. Members of the public can vote for the projects they think will make the most difference in their area. Grants of over £5,000 are available for this round of Place-based projects, with multiple different projects across different Falkirk areas.
New Masterplan to be Developed for Falkirk Community Hospital
A new masterplan is to be developed for Falkirk Community Hospital, setting out how existing services could be developed, improved and expanded across the site. This will be taken forward in partnership with local staff, GP practices, NHS Forth Valley, Falkirk Health and Social Care staff and Falkirk Council.
Victim Support Scotland and Police Scotland Aftercare Services Survey
Victim Support Scotland and Police Scotland are running a joint survey aimed at improving the support that is in place for people affected by crime throughout Scotland. The anonymous, confidential survey should take 10 minutes, and includes questions about referral to support services for people affected by crime. Views expressed in the responses will help inform and shape future Police Scotland aftercare services. The deadline for responses is Tuesday 31st August.
Canal Encounters 2021: Opportunities for Local Groups
Great Place Falkirk is looking for local groups and organisations to take part in its canals celebration this year, Canal Encounters. Canal Encounters is a month-long celebration of the Forth and Clyde canal, taking place in August and organised by Scottish Canals, Falkirk Community Trust and the Great Place Scheme. They are keen for groups to get involved, especially those interested in local history, heritage, wildlife, and landscape.
