Great Place Falkirk is looking for local groups and organisations to take part in its canals celebration this year, Canal Encounters.
Canal Encounters is a month-long celebration of the Forth and Clyde canal, taking place in August and organised by Scottish Canals, Falkirk Community Trust and the Great Place Scheme.
They are keen for groups to get involved – especially those interested in local history, heritage, wildlife, and landscape – by either:
- setting up a pop-up information stall at one of the 3 key sites (Lock 16, the Kelpies, and the Helix)
- provide activities or workshops (e.g. guided walks, learning activities)
To get involved, or for further information, please contact Dio Anemogiannis by email: Dionysis.Anemogiannis@falkirkcommunitytrust.org
