The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Scotland are looking for 2 Volunteer Officers (VOs) to join them, one in Grangemouth and one in Stirling.
These are both voluntary roles where the volunteer’s travel and training expenses will be covered, and the minimum commitment required is one day per week, for 6 months.
The VO role involves an amount of responsibility, including leading projects and supporting groups of adult volunteers working to improve green spaces. The roles provide the opportunity to build skills, knowledge and practical experience and enhance the VO’s employability. Others have used the VO role as a way to gain the experience needed to start a career in conservation and volunteer management.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 30th June.
Interviews for both roles will take place in July 2021, with an induction week for the successful applicants taking place in August 2021. They will also receive a First Aid training qualification, the opportunity to attend courses on Project Leadership, Safeguarding, Risk Assessment and other training relevant to the specific role, as well as branded clothing (T-shirt and fleece/jacket) and all the tools, materials and safety equipment needed to carry out the VO role.
