Future Skills: Pathways to Employment Programme
The Future Skills: Pathways to Employment programme is a 10 week targeted employability initiative, led by Forth Valley College in partnership with Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit (ETU). It is designed to support people in the Grangemouth area to gain the practical skills, qualifications, and confidence required to access emerging employment opportunities linked to Scotland’s net-zero transition and growing green economy.
FEL Scotland Climate and Energy Gathering 2026
FEL Scotland is hosting the Climate and Energy Gathering 2026 on Tuesday 28 April 2026 to bring together community organisations, businesses, individuals and local authorities working in energy efficiency, sustainable energy and the reduction of carbon emissions. Taking place 9:30am – 3:30pm at The Barracks Conference Centre, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 1QZ, the gathering will feature speakers, workshops and breakout sessions, plus opportunities to meet others in the industry, and showcase present and planned energy projects.
Falkirk Writers’ Circle Tryst Seminar 2026: Submissions Open
As part of its annual national writing competition, Falkirk Writers’ Circle will be hosting its FWC Tryst Seminar 2026 on Saturday 16 May 2026 at Polmont Community Hub, Greenpark Drive, Polmont, FK2 0PZ. All entries must be submitted prior to Monday 6 April 2026, with entries only eligible from those attending the Seminar.
Freedom of Mind Dementia-Friendly Singalong Sessions
Freedom of Mind Community Choir has announced dates for its upcoming dementia-friendly drop-in singalong sessions, with the first taking place on Wednesday 1 April, 2:30pm – 4:30pm at Camelon Parish Church Hall, Mansionhouse Road, Camelon, FK1 4LW. Everyone is welcome, and entry is free, with complementary refreshments served halfway through the session.
