CVS Falkirk & District’s next Connecting Volunteering Network, the last one of the year, will take place on Wednesday 26 November 2025, 10am – 12pm at Falkirk Community Fire Station, Westfield, Falkirk, FK2 9AH. We will be joined by Alison Clyde, CEO of Generations Working Together (GWT), who will speak about intergenerational practice, how this brings people together in purposeful activities, and contributes to building more cohesive communities.

VHS Invite to Participate in New Social Research Project
Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) invites third sector groups and organisations to participate in its new social research project exploring the relationship between gender and health. There are several ways groups and organisation can get involved, including online consultation events (with the next taking place on Thursday 20 November, 10am – 11:30am), an online survey, providing written evidence, and arranging one to one conversations.
Care with Confidence: Digital Switchover
The next Care with Confidence (CWC) session for unpaid carers from Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre takes place next Tuesday 11 November 2025, 10:30am – 12:30pm. Focusing on the upcoming Digital Switchover as the UK’s telephone network goes digital, Tuesday’s session will look at how this could affect carers and any telecare devices they may use, such as personal alarms, pendant alarms, and home care monitoring systems.
Bonnybridge Christmas Toy Collection
The Bonnybridge Christmas toy collection is open for donations again this year, with donations accepted Mondays and Wednesdays, 6pm – 8pm, at St Helen’s Parish Church, High Street, Bonnybridge, FK4 1DH. In a change from previous years, organisers will hold one Big Toy Giveaway event just before Christmas, for families in need to attend and select their toys.
Suicide Prevention Scotland October Newsletter
The October 2025 edition of the Suicide Prevention Scotland newsletter is now available to view or download online. Following feedback, the newsletter will now be hosted on the Suicide Prevention Scotland website.
Mouth Cancer Action Month 2025
Mouth Cancer Action Month takes place throughout November to raise awareness of mouth cancer and highlight the importance of being “mouthaware”. The campaign focuses on informing people on how to spot the signs of mouth cancer, along with the risk factors and how to reduce them in daily life.
Community Cultural Event
The Rainbow Muslim Women Group is holding a Community Cultural Event on Sunday 16 November 2025 from 5:30pm at the Dobbie Hall, Main Street, Stenhousemuir, FK5 4BL. The event is designed as a celebration of culture, featuring music, dance (including dabke), Chinese art, poetry, food, and performances from a barber band and a Scottish pipe band. Entry is completely free, but booking is required.
Recyke-a-Bike 2025 AGM
Recyke-a-bike’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday 12 November 2025 from 6pm at the Recyke-a-bike premises on Alloa Road, Causewayhead, Stirling, FK9 5LN (carpark and shop entrance are via Ladysneuk Road).
Antonine Café Winter Market
Our neighbours Antonine Café in Callendar Business Park is holding a Winter Market on Saturday 8 November 2025, 10:30am – 2:30pm. The café is located in Antonine House, Callendar Boulevard, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk, FK1 1XE. Refreshments on the day will include the café’s own cakes, scones, and other baked goods, with a stalls selling a range of crafted items. Antonine Café has donated all table fees from this event to Strathcarron Hospice, who will also have its own stall selling knitted Christmas themed items.
