Third Sector Partner Research on COVID-19: Input Needed
Scottish Government is keen to develop understanding of how national measures and local effort are supporting those at risk due to COVID-19, to inform consideration of future support options, and have launched an online research survey. They are reaching out to the third sector as partners in this work, for information on the kind of groups you have been supporting and the types of support you have been providing during the crisis. The deadline for responses is Friday 7th August.
Women’s Fund for Scotland COVID-19 Grants
The Women’s Fund for Scotland has launched 2 new funding programmes in response to COVID-19: the Emergency Response Grant and the Resilience and Recovery Grant. Grants of up to £5,000 are available through both grant schemes. The deadline for all applications is 4pm on Monday 10th August.
Inclusion Scotland Follow-Up Survey: Social Care Support During COVID-19
Inclusion Scotland has launched their new follow-up survey on social care support during COVID-19. The previous survey in April found that many disabled people had lost social care support during COVID-19; this follow-up aims to understand and build an accurate picture of why this happened. The deadline for responses is 12pm on Monday 27th July.
NHS Forth Valley Health Promotion Service COVID-19 Response Grants
NHS Forth Valley’s Health Promotion Service has grants of up to £500 available. The COVID-19 Response Grants support organisations to do one or all of the following: health and wellbeing activities in response to COVID-19 addressing a reduction in health inequalities; piloting new ideas and initiatives or adapting previous activities; development of employees, volunteers or clients directly relating to the funded programme; purchase equipment relating to the programme’s work.
HSE Workplace COVID-19 Safety Advice and Guidance
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has complied a range of workplace advice on gas safety, air conditioning and ventilation, and other guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic, which may be useful during this next recovery phase.
Review of Policing in Scotland During COVID-19: Call for Evidence
An Independent Advisor Group (IAG) has been set up to review Police Scotland’s use of new temporary police powers to tackle COVID-19. They are looking to gather feedback from as many people as possible on their experiences. The IAG is keen to involve the voices of community and grassroots representatives and any groups that may be most impacted or disadvantaged by the use of these temporary powers. The initial deadline for responses is Tuesday 1st September.
Charity Bank COVID-19 Funding List
Charity Bank has put together a list of emergency funds for charities, social enterprises and other third sector organisations experiencing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. The list is updated regularly, with sections on UK-wide funding as well as those funds specific to each country, and those which are available internationally and regionally.
FATE COVID-19 Services
In response to COVID-19, Friends at the End (FATE) has been awarded funding to help people to put their end of life care plans in place. FATE is based in Glasgow and work with people throughout Scotland. They plan to use this funding to help support more people to document their end-of-life wishes, by assisting with the preparation of Powers of Attorney, Advance Directives, and Advance Statements, amongst others.

Social Enterprise Scotland (SES) has compiled a new report, “COVID-19 and the Impact on Social Enterprise in Scotland”, based on findings taken directly from Scottish social enterprises.
