The Woodward Charitable Trust provides grants of up to £10,000 per year, to organisations supporting disadvantaged families with young children up to 11 years old, and organisations which work directly with children of the same age group. 2025 Healthy Heart Grant Scotland
Heart Research UK has announced the launch of its 2025 Healthy Heart Grant for Scotland, offering up to £15,000 per project to support innovative, community-led projects that promote heart health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 9 July 2025.
CashBack for Communities: Applications Open
Applications are now open for the next phase of CashBack for Communities funding, which will provide up to £26 million from April 2026 to end of March 2029. Organisations can apply for grants of £150,000 – £1,500,000. The deadline for applications at 12pm on Thursday 7 August 2025.

Paristamen Charity Responsive Grants Programme
The Paristamen Charity is a small grant-making charity; the Responsive Grant programme is their main programme, with a relatively broad application criteria. They make small unrestricted grants designed to make a difference to groups’ operational work. Grants of £500 – £1,000 are available to support the work of charitable organisations in Scotland. The next closing date for applications is Wednesday 1 October 2025.
Action Earth Grants 2025 Now Available
Volunteering Matters Action Earth has grants of £250 to help communities to respond to the nature and climate crises. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and NatureScot, Action Earth grants are designed to support volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to run practical environmental activities which improve biodiversity in Scotland’s green spaces in built-up areas and centres of population.
National Lottery Community Fund – Supporting Change: Carers
This Carers Week, we are highlighting funding available to support long-term, system-level change to improve the health and wellbeing of unpaid carers in Scotland. The ‘National Lottery Community Fund – Supporting Change: Carers’ is designed to fund projects that make meaningful and lasting changes to the way services and support systems work so carers can stay healthy and thrive in their caring roles.
RS Macdonald Charitable Trust Grants
The RS Macdonald Charitable Trust provides around £3 million in grants every year to charities working in Scotland, through their small and main grants programmes. For main grants, the next deadline is Wednesday 3 Sept 2025 for applications of £15,000 – £55,000. Small grant applications can be submitted at any time, for awards of up to £15,000.
AECS Application Deadline and Advisements
Scottish Government has issued a reminder that the 2025 Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS) application deadline is next Thursday 12 June 2025; supporting documentation must also be submitted by this date. They strongly advise applicants to upload supporting documents and submit applications as early as possible to avoid any potential issues.
