The Children’s Alliance offers grant funding to support grass roots initiatives delivering water-based projects that improve children’s health and wellbeing.
Grants of up to £15,000 are available with most awards being under £10,000. Non-profit organisations including schools, registered charities, community interest companies and registered community groups are eligible to apply. Applications can be submitted twice per year, in March and September, by completing the grant form on the Children’s Alliance website and submitting it via email to: info@childrensalliance.org.uk
Through previous funding rounds, they have supported numerous initiatives to ensure children and young people can experience the benefits being in water can have. These include swimwear provision for Muslim children, hydrotherapy for disabled children, surf therapy for mental health, swimming sessions for disabled children, and water-based play for children with Autism Spectrum or ADHD. This funding is an excellent opportunity for organisations delivering water-based or aquatic activities that support children’s wellbeing and inclusion.
