MCR Pathways supports young people who have experienced disadvantage and helps them to realise their full potential through education. The programme pairs Volunteer Mentors with students, and Mentors spend an hour each week listening to and encouraging a young person in their school.
The programme is currently expanding across Falkirk District to include 3 new schools, which means more Volunteers Mentors are being recruited to support local students.
Mentors and young people are carefully matched based on their likes, personality and life-experiences. Everyone is different, and mentors from all walks of life, backgrounds and communities are welcomed.
For further information, including to find a participating school near you, or to begin the registration process (which will take about 10 minutes, including watching a 3 minute video and completing a short form), please visit the MCR Pathways website.
“Thank you so much for starting your mentoring journey. One where you can ensure a young person is defined by their talents and not their circumstances.”
