The Forte Charitable Foundation offers a rolling programme of small grants to support charities and not for profit organisations delivering frontline services to people experiencing disadvantage across the UK. The programme is designed to help organisations meet core and running costs, reflecting the Foundation’s recognition that sustainable community support relies on strong, well‑resourced local groups.
Funding is available for projects in both rural and urban areas:
- Rural projects must serve communities with populations under 10,000 people in remote and economically deprived locations, where access to transport, services, and fundraising opportunities is limited. Typical examples include village halls, community transport schemes, and activities for older people or young people.
- Urban projects must be based in postcodes within the most deprived 15% nationally, and may include initiatives such as youth clubs, family support services, addiction recovery projects or community education programmes.
Grants range £2,000 – £10,000 and can cover up to 50% of total project costs, with the remainder secured from other sources. Eligible organisations must have an annual income of £250,000 or less. Please note, capital projects will not be funded.
Applications are open year‑round, and begin with an online eligibility check via the Foundation website (linked for your convenience).
