The Coach My Sport Academy is a programme for young people aged 16 – 25 years old, who are facing barriers to progressing to a positive destination. Bookings are now open for their upcoming course, which takes place at the Westquarter and Redding Cricket Club, Sunnyside Road, Brightons, Falkirk, FK2 0RN, over various dates during April and May. The full programme cost is £800 per participant; however, there are a limited number of free places available, along with opportunities for funding.

Forth Valley Disability Sport GOGA Cycle Sessions
On Thursday 9th April, Forth Valley Disability Sport and Get Out Get Active’s (GOGA) cycle sessions will begin again for this year. The sessions take place each Thursday afternoon at the Helix, Falkirk, FK2 7ZT. One hour sessions and group sessions are available. There are also opportunities to volunteer at these sessions. Booking is essential.
Falkirk Council Housing Allocations Consultation
Falkirk Council has launched an online consultation in order for people to share their views on possible changes to their current Housing Allocations Policy; this includes reviewing current letting initiatives, considering matching priority for overcrowding with under occupancy, and the way they manage applications from those who find themselves homeless. The deadline for responses is Friday 27th March.
Falkirk HSCP Delivery Plan Session
Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is holding a Delivery Plan Session on Friday 20th March at the Boardroom in Denny Town House, Town House Street, Denny, FK6 5DL. The session is open to third sector groups and organisations (including charities, social enterprises, voluntary and community groups), and will provide them with the opportunity to input and identify where they can contribute to the new HSCP delivery plan.
Froglife Denny Free Training Session
Froglife is holding a free training session on Thursday 19th March, 10:30am – 4pm at Denny Library, Davies Row, Denny, FK6 6FA. This course will focus on how to create, manage and restore ponds for amphibians, as well as practical information for constructing habitats for reptiles. The course is open to all, but spaces are limited, so booking is essential.
