The Coach My Sport Academy is a programme for young people aged 16 – 25 years old, who are facing barriers to progressing to a positive destination, including being disengaged from school, not currently in work, training or further education, or living with a disability. The participants complete a number of modules based around physical activity and sports coaching.
Bookings are now open for their upcoming course, which takes place at the Westquarter and Redding Cricket Club, Sunnyside Road, Brightons, Falkirk, FK2 0RN, at 10am – 1pm over the following dates:
- Monday 20th April
- Tuesday 21st April
- Monday 27th April
- Tuesday 28th April
- Monday 4th May
- Tuesday 5th May
- Monday 11th May
- Tuesday 12th May
- Monday 25th May
- Tuesday 26th May
The full programme cost (including follow-up from a mentor and work experience provision) is £800 per participant; however, there are a limited number of free places available. Alternatively, the Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland’s Transition Fund have confirmed that they will fund the places of any young people with a disability.
