Teapot Trust “Sharing Expertise” Online Conference
The Teapot Trust is holding their free online conference, “Sharing Expertise” on Thursday 25th March, 10am – 3pm. The Teapot Trust provides a programme of art therapy across the UK, supporting children and young people living with chronic conditions, and their families. The conference has been designed to share the Trust’s learnings, with the overall theme of collaboration around mental health.
SDS National Voice 2021: “The Quality Approach” Conference
Self Directed Support Scotland (SDSS) is holding their annual National Voice conference online on Wednesday 17th March, 9am – 3:30pm. “SDS National Voice 2021: The Quality Approach” aims to help people involved in Self-directed Support (SDS) at all levels, including those who want to influence the delivery of health and social care. The event is designed to be as accessible as possible, and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters will be available. Tickets for the event range in price from £15 – £50; however, people who have a disability, or people who use support services, are eligible for a free place.
National No Smoking Day: Local Resources
Wednesday 10th March is National No Smoking Day, and NHS Forth Valley would like to reach anyone who smokes who would like to make an attempt to quit smoking for good. They are especially keen to reach people this year, where people who smoke tend to have poorer outcomes during the current pandemic. Community Conversations: Bonnybridge, Larbert and Falkirk South
Community Conversations are taking place online for areas across Falkirk, with the next events being Bonnybridge and Larbert (Ward 5) on Friday 5th March, 2pm – 3:30pm, and Falkirk South (Ward 7) next Monday 8th March, 2pm – 3:30pm. Getting involved now means that you have a chance to influence use of community property and schools in your area, and raise known issues with many of the council’s decision makers. So far, communities have been underrepresented in these conversations, and CVS Falkirk urge you not to miss your chance to be heard.
