Self Directed Support Scotland (SDSS) is holding their annual National Voice conference online on Wednesday 17th March, 9am – 3:30pm.
“SDS National Voice 2021: The Quality Approach” aims to help people involved in Self-directed Support (SDS) at all levels, including those who want to influence the delivery of health and social care.
The event is designed to be as accessible as possible, and British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters will be available.
In attendance will be a number of organisations at the centre of SDS development, including Scottish Government, local authorities, Disabled Peoples-led Organisations (DPOs), and SDSS membership organisations.
The event will include presentations with the opportunity to ask questions about the Independent Review of Adult Social Care, Social Work Scotland’s Standards for SDS and the “My Support, My Choice” national research. There will also be workshops with a focus on (amongst others):
- local SDS Strategies
- SDS legislation and guidance
- community-led support
- mental health
- out of area support
- the Independent Living Fund
