The award recognises and rewards groups who go the extra mile to involve their volunteers, and demonstrates their commitment to those volunteers. dates-n-mates is Falkirk’s first group to achieve the award since its recent redesign.

Community Capacity and Resilience Fund
Scottish Government’s Community Capacity and Resilience Fund (CCRF) is now open for applications. The fund aims to support local, community-based organisations with small grants of up to £8,000 to deliver activities helping mitigate the impact of welfare reform, promote social inclusion, combat inequality, and increase partnership working. Organisations must have had an income of less than £200,000 in their last financial year. The deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 10th September.
Scottish Children’s Health Awards: Deadline Approaching
The deadline for nominations for the Scottish Children’s Health Awards is 5pm on Friday 23rd July. The awards celebrate children who have shown great determination, and health professionals, teams and practitioners who have made a difference to children’s health.
MESS Outdoor Sensory Live Shows
The Macrobert Arts Centre at Stirling University is hosting outdoor performances of MESS next week, Wednesday 21st July – Friday 23rd July. MESS is a highly sensory live show for children and young people (aged 5 – 18 years old) with complex additional support needs, and their families, with frequent moments of stillness and silence. Tickets are £4.50, £6.50, or £8.50 (on a “pay what you can” model). There is also a travel subsidy available.
COVID-19 Protection Levels Update: Scotland Entering Level 0
Scottish Government has confirmed that, from Monday 19th July, all of Scotland will move to Level 0. However, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has urged everyone to follow the current safety measures in place in their area until that time, and to follow Level 0 guidance afterwards. As a result of the ongoing high number of cases in Scotland, face masks will remain mandatory (with medical exemptions in place).
