Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP) has launched their new Town Toolkit. The toolkit includes ideas, case studies, advice and other resources, and is designed to be a source of inspiration and starting point, as well as a practical guide for anyone who wants to improve their town centre, including how to work collaboratively with other local organisations.

New Carers Centre Phone Number
Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre has implemented a new phone system, to better support those getting in touch. ALL calls (including from people living in Clackmannanshire) should now be made to 01324 611 510. Callers will then be given 4 options to access the appropriate team.
Money Advice Scotland August Events and Training
Money Advice Scotland has released its events schedule for August 2021, with all events, training and sessions free to attend. Upcoming events include “Money Works Webinar: Car Insurance and Finance” (on Thursday 12th August, 2pm – 3pm and Wednesday 18th August, 10:30am – 11:30am), their “Student Money Webinar” (on Tuesday 24th August, 1pm – 2pm), and “Train the Trainer: Digital Delivery of Financial Wellbeing”.
Corporate Challenge Bootcamp Sessions
Social Enterprise Scotland’s Corporate Challenge bootcamp sessions for social enterprises take place next week, 11am – 12pm each day: Monday 19th July: “BOOTCAMP 1: Opportunities for Social Enterprise”; Tuesday 20th July: “BOOTCAMP 2: Pitching and Proposals”; Wednesday 21st July: “BOOTCAMP 3: Policy Perspectives”; Thursday 22nd July: “BOOTCAMP 4: Private Sector Engagement”; Friday 23rd July: “BOOTCAMP 5: Procurement Action Workshop”. Places are free, and everyone is welcome; attendees can attend as many sessions as suits them.
Volunteering Support Fund
Scottish Government’s Volunteering Support Fund is now open for applications. This new £3.3 million fund will be delivered by Impact Funding Partners over the next 3 years, with organisations able to apply for up to £30,000, geared towards organisations in Scotland with an annual income of under £250,000, to help recruit additional volunteers who will contribute towards delivering a new volunteering project, extending or expanding an existing one, and improve how volunteers are supported in their role. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 27th August.
