The Leathersellers’ Company has announced that its next application round for the Small Grants Programme will reopen for applications on Monday 3 February 2025. The Small Grants Programme is a rolling funding programme for one-off grants of up to £5000 for small charities and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) that provide essential services for vulnerable people in deprived communities across the UK.
The number of applications is capped, with submissions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis; specifically, the first 45 applications received after each round opens will be considered. The application process is extremely competitive with eight application windows throughout the year. As such, they strongly suggest that you draft your application using the offline Word version of the form (linked) – as if you start online and the maximum submissions are reached, you will be unable to submit and your answers will not be saved.
The key priorities for Leathersellers in reading your application are:
- What need you are aiming to address in your local community
- What difference you make in people’s lives and how you do it
- How you know you are making a difference (evidenced outcomes)
The application form will be available at 10am on Monday 3 February 2025 and will automatically close when 40 submissions are received. You will receive a notification of your submission by email (please check spam/ junk folders for email from charityapp@leathersellers.co.uk), and they will inform you of the outcome of your application within 8 weeks.
