Funding is available through the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust’s (JRCT) Sustainable Futures programme to address climate change and its effects.
Organisations, individuals and charities across the UK can apply for grants to support projects which develop and promote sustainable, low-carbon alternatives to mainstream economic models. The funding will support campaigns, initiatives, and projects which promote alternatives to consumerism and amplify the voices of young activists and marginalised groups on issues of economic and environmental justice.
JRCT’s Sustainable Future programme was created in 2014, and has made over 100 grants which aim to address the problems of consumerism, extractivism and the root causes of climate and economic harm. Previous grants awarded have ranged from a few hundred pounds to grants in excess of £100,000.
To apply, interested groups must register with the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT), with registration completed by Monday 18 August 2025, and applications submitted by 12pm on Monday 1 September 2025.
