Throughout May, Volunteer Scotland is running a series of support sessions for local groups and organisations about the recent major changes to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, as part of the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 which came into effect at the start of the month.

These include:

Online Information Sessions (via MS Teams) about the major changes in the disclosure process and how these will impact on local groups, and their volunteers and staff; next session this coming Monday 5 May 2025 at 10am. All sessions are free, but booking is required.

Informal Online Drop-in Sessions (via MS Teams) to give groups and organisations the opportunity to chat with a member of their training team about the Disclosure Act and the recent changes; next session is Monday 5 May, 2pm – 3pm.

PVG Regulated Roles Training Sessions, a series of training sessions that will cover an overview of the PVG Scheme, who can join the scheme, normal and incidental duties, as well as resources available; first session is 10am – 12pm, Wednesday 7 May 2025.
