As a reminder, implementation of the Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Act 2023 is continuing.

These changes mean that from summer 2025, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) will be displaying the accounts for ALL Scottish charities on the Scottish Charity Register.

CVS Falkirk & District urges all our local charities to spend this time planning how they will meet this requirement and ensure their accounts are ready for publication. Our team is also available to support you during this period.

The remaining sections of the Act are also due to come into force in mid-2025; OSCR will soon confirm the timing of these, which includes:

the publication of trustee names on the Scottish Charity Register
a schedule of charity trustees retained by OSCR
a record of charity mergers on OSCR’s website
updates to the disqualification criteria for charity trustees
