Community organisations which operate community spaces (such as youth clubs, amateur sports clubs, village halls, and Scouting, Guiding and Cadet groups) can apply for grants up to £20,000 through the Asda Foundation’s Local Community Spaces Fund. Applications close at 10am on Wednesday 28 May 2025, or sooner if oversubscribed.

Creative Breaks Programme Grants
The Creative Breaks programme provides 12 month grants to third sector organisations to develop and deliver short breaks projects and services for carers of adults (aged 21 years and over), and young carers (caring for children or adults), and the people that they care for. Completed applications must be submitted by 5pm on Thursday 22 May 2025.

A £1million Scottish Government fund is open to support tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention across Scotland. Administered by SFHA and Homeless Network Scotland, the fund will run from June 2025 – April 2026. Applications close at 5pm, Monday 12 May 2025.
UK Shared Prosperity Fund: Grant Information Session
Falkirk Council Communities Team will be hosting a UK Shared Prosperity Fund: Grant Information Session at The Tryst Community Centre, Park Drive, Stenhousemuir, Larbert, FK5 3BB, on Thursday 15 May. This is a drop-in session with Falkirk Council staff available from 1pm – 8pm to answer any questions and provide advice on submitting an application for this funding.
Community Empowerment Grant Now Open
The Community Empowerment Grant, administered by Falkirk Council, is now open for applications. The Community Empowerment Fund (part of the broader UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF)) is a community capacity building initiative aiming to boost local community projects across the Falkirk District. As the programme is time limited, all funds will be allocated from a single round of grant applications and awards in the coming weeks, with deadlines for all grants in June 2025.
Hays Travel Foundation Grants
The Hays Travel Foundation aims to create a brighter future for young people by supporting their development in education, poverty prevention, health, arts, culture, and sports. Registered charities can apply for grants to support their mission or specific projects. The deadline for applications ahead of this meeting is Sunday 22 June 2025.
B&Q Foundation Grants
The B&Q Foundation supports hundreds of registered charities across the UK every year, providing grants for a wide range of charities who are looking for funding to improve or develop spaces which benefit their local communities. This grant supports capital and revenue costs. Awards are up to £10,000 for building or indoor projects, and up to £5,000 for garden projects. The deadline for the current round is 6pm on Friday 9 May 2025.
New Code of Fundraising Practice Launched
The Fundraising Regulator has launched a new Code of Fundraising Practice, which will come into effect on Saturday 1 November 2025. It aims to be clearer and easier to navigate for the third sector, fundraisers, and members of the public, while delivering a proportionate approach to regulation through a principles-based format. A 6 month transition period will be in place, to give those involved time to familiarise themselves with the new code and update internal procedures.
