Scottish Government’s Cash-First Fund (CFF) will open for applications on Monday 31st July, with information sessions taking place on Monday 24th July and Wednesday 26th July, via Teams.
The fund will be open to applications from local areas who want to test approaches which accelerate their action to tackle food insecurity, learning about what works best in their communities, and sharing this to inform national policy and practice.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 1st September, with application reviews being made throughout September, and applicants notified of their outcomes in October.
Information Sessions
Due to the likelihood of people being on leave during the summer, Scottish Government will record the information sessions for those who would like to attend but are unavailable.
The information sessions will also cover details of the Child Poverty Accelerator Fund (CPAF). Scottish Government aims to align some of the processes around both these funds, recognising likely interest in both, but will be able to set out more detail on how these will work through more detailed guidance and the information sessions.
Please note you do not have to book a place at the information sessions, simply join via the Teams joining links below.
- Session One: Monday 24th July, 11am – 12:30pm, via Teams: JOINING LINK
- Session Two: Wednesday 26th July, 11am – 12:30pm, via Teams: JOINING LINK
Expressions of Interest
While an Expression of Interest (EOI) Form (linked for your convenience) has been released, there is no requirement to complete this form. An EOI is not a prerequisite for applying for CFF, but is intended to give an early indication of the type of applications which may be received, and support Scottish Government in ensuring the guidance and application form is fit for purpose.
Those who would like to complete an EOI before applying for the CFF are asked to submit and return them by next Thursday 20th July, by email: FoodInsecurityTeam@gov.scot
To download the EOI Form, please visit the CVS Falkirk website.
