Registered charities and small voluntary organisations across the UK are now invited to apply to the Boots Charitable Trust for funding to support work and projects which aim to improve health, learning, community wellbeing and development, and social care.
The Trust has a long history of supporting grassroots initiatives, with a focus on ensuring its grants make a meaningful difference to the people and communities they serve. The 2026 round places particular emphasis on diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI), encouraging applications that actively address disadvantage, broaden participation, or support under‑represented groups.
The Trust supports work which aligns with one or more of the following themes:
- Health: including community healthcare, home‑based support services, condition‑specific support groups, and preventative or educational health projects.
- Lifelong learning: local literacy and numeracy initiatives, adult education, and community‑based learning activities.
- Community development: projects which strengthen local services, empower residents, or improve access to community facilities.
- Social care: activities supporting personal and social wellbeing, community inclusion, or assisted living.
Applicants may request support for a broad range of costs, including core and running costs (such as staff salaries and operational expenditure), project delivery costs, and minor capital works, refurbishments, and essential improvements to community spaces.
