Due to popular demand, the deadline to apply for Big Give’s Christmas Challenge has been extended to 5pm next Wednesday 16 July 2025.

The Big Give is the UK’s biggest match-funding campaign, open to UK registered charities across all sectors, working in the UK or internationally. Launching on #GivingTuesday in December every year, the Christmas Challenge doubles donations for 7 days. In 2024, the campaign raised £44.7 million for 1,267 charities.

To take part, a charity must secure a portion of their match funding pot. If eligible, they can be awarded up to the same amount again from one of the campaign’s Champion funder, creating a combined match pot which is used to double public donations made through Big Give’s platform during the campaign week.
