Youth Scotland’s Ready for Youth Work is a practical course aimed at youth workers and volunteers to ensure that they can: create a safe space for young people; plan, deliver and evaluate fun youth work sessions for young people; engage young people meaningfully and celebrate and recognise their achievements.
The course includes an introduction to youth work, the Hi5 Award and the Dynamic Youth Award, child protection awareness, and information on youth participation and involving young people in decision-making. Ready for Youth Work is completely free, and on completion, participants will receive accreditation at SQCF level 3.
