As part of the Falkirk Walking, Wheeling and Cycling Feasibility Studies, and following a number of co-design workshops with local communities, SEStran, Falkirk Council and Arup have developed concept proposals for the Falkirk to Polmont route.
They would like to hear people’s thoughts and feedback on the proposals, via the dedicated Virtual Engagement Room (VER), which now also features:
- Standing Board 3: Summary of Engagement
- Standing Board 4: Summary of Proposed Route with feedback form
- Poster Wall: Concept Drawing Proposals
- Final Screen: Visualisations
Feedback can be submitted using the feedback form on Standing Board 4.
The VER has also been updated with concept proposals and visuals following this engagement.
The active travel route proposals provided on this VER are concept designs, visions for what could be possible along the corridor. The project is still in the very early stages of development, but SEStran, Falkirk Council and Arup hope that this information provides a taster for what could be achieved in the area. As part of the detailed design stage, more comprehensive engagement work will be required, along with in-depth discussions with various Council departments, including the Roads Network Team, on technical matters.
Additionally, proposals for the Falkirk to Larbert route proposals will be shared in February 2022.
To submit your response, or for further information, please visit the VER (opening the tab “Falkirk to Polmont”).
