SEStran and Falkirk Council are working with Arup (an independent firm which provides design, engineering, architecture, planning, and advisory services across every aspect of the built environment) to create the Falkirk Walking, Wheeling and Cycling Feasibility Studies.
The project consists of 2 feasibility studies, which look at introducing and improving walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure from Falkirk to Larbert, and Falkirk to Polmont. These routes are part of the wider strategic network for the South East of Scotland.
They would like to hear from the local community and stakeholders within Falkirk on the following questions:
- what are the key services and facilities within the areas?
- what are the key barriers and opportunities to walking, wheeling and cycling in the areas?
- where would they like to see walking, wheeling and cycling improvements?
To gather these views, they have launched a Virtual Engagement Room (VER), which is open to everyone. The VER provides details of the feasibility studies, and space for people to feed into the project.
To submit your response, please visit the VER “Next Steps” board.
