Strathcarron Hospice has announced dates for their next “Storytelling” and “Local History Stories and Events” Zoom sessions.
The sessions are designed to be very relaxed and informal, providing some light relief each month from current news and events. They are open to everyone; you do not need to have a connection to the Hospice to attend.
The sessions all begin at 2pm via Zoom, lasting roughly an hour, with the next taking place:
- Storytelling and Reminiscing: Thursday 12th May, Thursday 9th June, Thursday 14th July, and Thursday 11th August
Leading the Storytelling is Jean Currie, a volunteer with Strathcarron who will reminisce about “the good old days”. She will lead each session by telling a personal story, and is happy for people to just listen, but is hopeful that her reminiscing will spark memories in others which they may wish to share.
The Zoom details (linked for your convenience) are the same for all Storytelling sessions. (Meeting ID: 645 564 0456; Passcode: 252391.)
- Local History Stories and Events: Tuesday 12th April, Tuesday 17th May, Tuesday 21st June, Tuesday 19th July, and Tuesday 16th August
Ken has an incredible knowledge of local history and the stories behind events that happened in Central Scotland. He is delighted to share his passion of local Scottish history with everyone and answer questions about well-known historical moments, and will also talk about lesser known facts.
