Supported by the Linbury Trust, through the Theatres Trust ‘Small Grants Programme’, not-for-profit theatres across the UK can apply for grants of up to £7,500. The funding is designed to support small capital projects that enhance the resilience, sustainability, and accessibility of theatre venues.

This programme offers a valuable opportunity for community and voluntary theatre organisations to invest in practical improvements that strengthen their long-term viability and accessibility. Previous awards have helped organisations install energy-efficient LED lighting, improve level access, upgrade heating and cooling systems, introduce hearing loops, improve building management systems, and undertake draught-proofing measures. Please note that revenue and survey costs are ineligible.

Organisations must have at least 2-years accounts and run a year-round programme of public live performances.

The closing date for applications is 12pm, Friday 15 January 2027.
