Gambling harm is a public health issue that impacts people across Scotland. The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) are working with The Scottish Government’s Preventing Poor Mental Health and Suicide Unit to support community-based activity to advance work on mental health and gambling harms, including a focus on suicide.
As part of this work, the ALLIANCE is pleased to announce a second round of The Gambling Harm and Mental Health Fund is available for third sector and community organisations across Scotland. The aim of this fund is to understand the impact of Gambling Harms on specific disadvantaged, marginalised, and minoritised communities and how this intersects with wider social, economic, and environmental factors.
All applications must be submitted before 5pm, Friday 14 August 2026 via the ALLIANCE’s online grant portal.
For any queries, please contact gamblingharm@alliance-scotland.org.uk or call 0141 404 0231.
To support applicants, two online Q&A sessions with the Scotland Reducing Gambling Harm Programme Team are available. These sessions will discuss the origins of this fund; outline core criteria and grant priorities; provide clarifying information on who can apply and discuss conflicts of interest; detail key dates for your diary; and facilitate a Q&A session. To obtain the Microsoft Teams link for either session, attendees must register their place in advance via the dedicated Humantix webpage linked below:
