Health and Wellbeing Forum: Urgent & Unscheduled Care Standards and Home Fire Safety Visits
August 5 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
CVS Falkirk & District is delighted to invite Third Sector organisations to our next Health & Wellbeing Forum on Wednesday 5 August 2026, bringing together local partners to explore key developments affecting health and wellbeing across Falkirk. This meeting will take place online via Microsoft Teams, from 10am – 12pm.
We will be focusing on Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s proposed Urgent & Unscheduled Care Standards, which are currently being developed to help shape how urgent and unscheduled care is planned, commissioned and delivered across Scotland. The standards recognise that many people access urgent care because of wider issues such as mental health, homelessness, frailty, substance use, safeguarding concerns and social crisis. This is an important opportunity to consider how community-based support, prevention and partnership working can continue to influence the future of urgent and unscheduled care. As part of this, we are pleased to welcome Jen Layden, Programme Manager at Healthcare Improvement Scotland, who will provide an overview of the proposed standards and discuss what they could mean for Third Sector organisations and the communities they support.
The Forum will also include a presentation from Allison Campbell, Safer Homes Officer with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, who will share information about Home Fire Safety Visits and how organisations can support people to access this free preventative service.
There will also be opportunities for networking, discussion and updates from Forum members. Whether your organisation delivers health services, supports people experiencing inequalities, or works to improve wellbeing within Falkirk communities, we encourage you to join us.
