Falkirk Council’s Adult Support and Protection team is working with Police Scotland to deliver engagement sessions on Doorstep Crime and Bogus Callers in the coming months, as part of the #ShutOutScammers initiative. The sessions are open to community groups, service users and carer groups, delivered Monday 23rd March – Friday 10th April.

“Beauty and a Blether” Service Launch
Alzheimer Scotland is launching their new “Beauty and a Blether” service on Tuesday 25th February, 10am – 12pm at Eve Hair and Beauty, 207 High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1YD. The service offers people with dementia a range of beauty treatments, discounted at 20% off (with a full list of treatments and prices available). Carers, friends and family are welcome to attend, with refreshments and free treatment tasters available at the launch.
Community Justice Outcome Activity Report Consultation
Community Justice Scotland is now inviting comments on the draft Community Justice Outcome Activity Across Scotland 2018-19 report, and has opened an online consultation, as part of the requirements under the Community Justice (Scotland) Act 2016. The draft report aims to provide a national overview of reported progress made by community justice partners working collaboratively across Scotland towards better outcomes for people. The deadline for responses is Wednesday 12th February.
