Forth Valley Sensory Centre’s Lip-Reading Class with Jill Bradshaw has now returned, taking place via Zoom on Friday mornings, 10:30am – 12pm. There is currently operating a waiting list, and has taster sessions available for anyone interested in joining. They are also looking to start a new Tinnitus Support Group, which will cover hints and tips to manage the condition, and are currently trying to establish suitable times and dates.

“Curious About: Our Planet” Online Festival
Glasgow Science Centre has opened their free 3 day online festival, “Curious About: Our Planet”, running Thursday 18th February – Saturday 20th February. The festival aims to celebrate the diversity of the planet, and the dangers it faces. There will be live events, activities, games, workshops and projects for all ages, as well as an eco-gallery of great images from around the globe.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have moved the ever-popular Funders Fayre online, running Tuesday 9th March – Thursday 11th March with short presentations each day from funders an support organisations.

Community Conversations are taking place online for areas across Falkirk. Getting involved now means that you have a chance to influence use of community property and schools in your area, and raise known issues with many of the council’s decision makers. So far, communities have been underrepresented in these conversations, and CVS Falkirk urge you not to miss your chance to be heard.
“Who Contributes the Most to Volunteering in Scotland?” Report Online
Volunteer Scotland has made their new report, “Who Contributes The Most To Volunteering In Scotland?”, available online. The report is based on their analysis of the Scottish Household Survey 2018 data for formal and informal volunteering, and aims to provide new evidence on “volunteering intensity” across key variables such as gender, age, deprivation, income, education and health.
