The Poverty Alliance has released a General Activity Toolkit ahead of this year’s Challenge Poverty Week, taking place Monday 4th October – Sunday 10th October. The toolkit is designed to help communities and third sector groups and organisations across Scotland with any activities, events or online campaigns.

“Achieving an Active Scotland for All” Adaptive Cycling Online Event
Energy Saving Trust is holding a free online event supporting disabled, elderly, and rural cycling, taking place on Wednesday 25th August, 1pm – 4:30pm. “Achieving an active Scotland for all: ebikes, adapted cycles and bike shares” aims to provide an opportunity to learn about accessibility and cycling, and to build knowledge on ebikes, adapted cycles and bike shares.
“Light at the End of the Tunnel” Community Services Online Event
Food Train Connects is holding an online event on Wednesday 25th August, 11am – 12:30pm, to promote their shopping and phone service. “Light at the End of the Tunnel” aims to offer an opportunity for community services to come together and ensure they are still meeting the needs of the people they help and support.
Eden Project Communities Scotland Roadshow: Falkirk Event
Eden Project Communities will soon kick off their Scotland Roadshow, a series of small outdoor events designed to help people get together and connect again in a safe, relaxed environment. The Roadshow will visit 6 locations around Scotland, with the Falkirk Roadshow taking place on Saturday 21st August, 11am – 1pm at Dollar Park Walled Garden, Camelon Road, Falkirk, FK1 5SQ.
COVID-19 Vaccine Self-Registration for 16 – 17 Year Olds
Young people aged 16 – 17 years old living in mainland Scotland can now register for their COVID-19 vaccination online. Registration takes 5 – 10 minutes through the NHS Scotland portal; you will receive alerts and information digitally (via text or email).
