- “An Introduction to Financial Wellbeing – Training for Third Sector Practitioners”: Wednesday 11 June 2025, 9:30am – 12:30pm
Taking place online, this course is for anyone working directly with people within the third sector who do not necessarily provide money advice, but would benefit from feeling more confident in talking to their service users about money worries they may have.
The course has been designed to examine and understand the essential elements of financial wellbeing, exploring the challenges and barriers that prevent many individuals from achieving it. New topics include the lasting impact of the cost of living crisis, digital exclusion, poverty, and domestic abuse. The course also highlights practical strategies to overcome these barriers, and enhance financial wellbeing through effective money guidance.
This free course is open to everyone, with a special focus on those in supportive roles. It provides participants with valuable insights into the link between financial wellbeing, and overall wellbeing. The course also explores practical methods to integrate money guidance and financial education into their services, helping their clients take meaningful steps toward financial stability and confidence.
Please note that these sessions do not cover benefits or debt advice.
- “Get Financially Fit: Credit & Credit Reports Cardio”: Thursday 19 June 2025, 12pm – 12:45pm
Each month, Money Advice Scotland will tackle a new aspect of personal finance; in June they will be looking at Credit and Credit Report Cardio, followed by Consumer Rights Calisthenics in July.
Whether people looking to build a budget, save for the future, or set achievable financial goals, these bite-sized webinars and TikToks are designed to help people grow their financial confidence, one step at a time.
Please note, this webinar will be recorded. However, participants names or cameras will not be seen on the recording, nor any comments made in the chat.
- “Ask the Expert Recorded Webinar: An Introduction to Wills”
The next in the Ask the Expert Series is a pre-recorded webinar looking at the sensitive subject of wills.
Leading the session is Jenny, Money Advice Scotland’s Financial Wellbeing Manager, and Hope, a private client solicitor who helps families deal with wills, Powers of Attorney, and estate administrations when someone has passed away. The webinar is aimed at anyone who wants to learn more about arranging a will, who can assist with this, what should be included in your will, and much more.
