Scottish Mediation is delivering an online training session, Managing Relationships in the Third Sector, on Wednesday 23 September 2026, 1:30 – 4:30pm.
This three hour workshop is aimed at staff, trustees and volunteers working within charities and third sector organisations, and is designed to provide a practical introduction to managing relationships effectively and addressing issues before they escalate into more significant disputes.
Participants will explore common causes of conflict within the third sector and consider how differences in perspective, communication styles and organisational pressures can contribute to tensions. The session will also introduce approaches to managing relationships constructively, including responding to concerns and maintaining positive working environments.
In addition, the workshop will provide practical techniques to help resolve disagreements at an early stage, supporting improved communication and collaborative problem‑solving, along with an opportunity to build confidence in managing challenging situations and supporting effective governance and day‑to‑day operations.
With this session, Scottish Mediation aims to offer an opportunity to build confidence in handling challenging situations and supporting positive working relationships within organisations.
Places are £50 per person.
