Make Your Mark is a campaign to increase the number and diversity of heritage volunteers in Scotland. With heritage defined as built, natural, cultural and intangible heritage. Make Your Mark is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Make your Mark are holding their second annual conference, this year focusing on how to support a range of volunteers with varying abilities and needs. The Conference will take place on Thursday 27 February 2025 from 9am – 4:30pm with the option to attend in-person or online. There will be a combination or informative talks, interactive workshops and panel discussions covering various topics.
Where: Online and in-person at The Engine Shed (Stirling)
Who: Volunteer-involving organisations (heritage and non-heritage)
There will be a combination of informative talks, interactive workshops and panel discussions that cover:
- The importance of inclusive leadership in supporting volunteer programmes
- Trends in culture and heritage volunteering in Scotland: the data picture
- How to fund inclusive volunteer programmes
- Supporting older volunteers who have to stop volunteering due to age-related reasons
- Inclusive group volunteering for people with support needs
- Lived experiences of people from a diverse range of communities who have tried out heritage volunteering
