International Volunteer Managers Day (IVMDay) was founded and observed for the first time in 1999, and was developed in order to bring recognition to individual Managers of Volunteers and their roles in the mobilisation and support of the world’s volunteers.
International Volunteer Manager’s Day (IVMD) is approaching on Tuesday 5 November 2024 with the theme for this year being “What’s our future normal?”. This theme was selected to celebrate their quarter century milestone, and will consider themes such as:
- The place of Volunteer Leaders in National Volunteering Strategies
- Future workforces make up (both volunteers and Volunteer Leaders) and their views and expectations
- The changing importance being placed on how personal volunteer data is being secured and handled
- The increasing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Volunteer Management
If you are celebrating IVMD or would like to tell us what you think our future normal is, you can comment on social media with hashtag #IVMDay24.
