Home Instead Charities work towards a world where ageing adults play and active and inclusive role in society where loneliness and isolation is eradicated through thoughtful, proactive and respectful social activities to empower ageing adults to live happy, healthy, connected and valued lives.
They are awarding small grants to fund projects to improve the lives of older people across the UK, through wellbeing events, activities or pastimes which help prevent social isolation and loneliness amongst adults aged 55 years and over. The grants on offer include:
- up to £1500 to small local registered charities
- up to £500 to grassroots organisations
Eligible projects may include regular events (such as a cinema club, knitting group, or lunch club), one-off activities (like a day trip or Christmas lunch), or other initiatives (such as yoga classes or guest speaker sessions).
The Fund accepts applications 4 times per year: January, April, July and October. Applications received in January will be processed and awarded in February. Applications received outside of these windows will not be processed.
