Via its Grants for Community Photography Projects, the Richard and Siobhan Coward Foundation is offering grants of £500 – £1,500 to support participatory photography projects aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people under 25 years old across the UK.
The programme funds projects where photography is a core element. Activities must provide hands-on experience of photographic techniques, with the aim of delivering positive therapeutic benefits to participants’ physical and/or mental wellbeing. Projects may include workshops, outings, or a series of sessions, and can use digital or analogue methods.
Examples of eligible activities include:
- guided photography outings
- darkroom experiences
- creative techniques such as cyanotype or pinhole photography
- printing and image development
Applications can be made by individual photographers leading the project, or by charitable organisations on their behalf. The current funding round closes on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
