Disclosure Scotland is offering a free PVG Duty to Refer training webinar for organisations which use the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme, including countersignatories and staff involved in disciplinary processes.
Taking place on Thursday 4 June 2026, 10am – 12pm via Microsoft Teams, this interactive session aims to provide a clear and practical overview of an employer’s referral responsibilities under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Act 2007.
The webinar will cover:
- PVG duty to refer obligations, and how they support a safer Scotland
- the types of conduct which meet the criteria for a referral
- how to make a referral to Disclosure Scotland
- what happens to the information once it is submitted
Disclosure Scotland staff will guide participants through the process, drawing on their knowledge of relevant legislation.
