We’ve now less than a month until the Forth Valley Third Sector Conference!
Taking place on Tuesday 9th February, 9:15am – 3pm, this year is the first time the event has been completely online. Along with our partners at SVE and CTSI, we’re excited to share the day with you all, from the varied workshops to the presentations from different community groups.
There will also be keynote speeches from Aileen Campbell, MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government, and Dr Jim McCormick, the new CEO of the Robertson Trust. Both these great speakers will focus on the theme of the conference: “People, Place and Participation”.
We’ve worked to make this year’s conference as relevant to our local third sector’s work as possible, especially considering the enormous impact of COVID-19. After almost a year of various lockdown restrictions, we hope the conference will be a day for you to reflect on the incredible work you have all done to support our communities during this time, and find out about the range of resources and support available as we enter the next stage of the journey together.
As part of this, we have also organised networking sessions from 3pm, for those of you who are able to stay. These are completely optional, but we hope will make up for not being able to see each other in person, and help you think about the day.
As ever, the conference is open to volunteers, staff and trustees from third sector organisations and groups. Our partners in the public and private sector are more than welcome to attend (especially with the importance of working together increasing), but please be aware the event is aimed at, and most relevant for, those in our local third sector.
Tickets are £10 each, and available from the Eventbrite page, where you can also pick your workshops and networking sessions.
