Applications close at 5:30pm this coming Monday 22nd January for grants from the Coronation Food Project.
The project is part of the King Charles III Charitable Fund, which aims to transform lives and build sustainable communities through grantmaking, social investment and incubation of initiatives and projects.
Through the Coronation Food Project, grants of £300 – £30,000 are available over a 3 year period for for community groups, charities and social enterprises which demonstrate innovative ideas aiming to change the way people think about and conduct food activities in the future. The Coronation Food Project will also support organisations in need of funds to continue their activities.
Applications to the grants programme must demonstrate how the funding would be used to address one or more of the following:
- reducing levels of food waste
- improving mechanisms to deliver surplus food to re-distribution charities
- addressing underlying causes of food poverty
- improving access to nutritious food for the most at need groups
