Do you have an idea that will improve the quality of life in your community? Do you have a proposal that will make a positive and lasting difference to your area? There’s now an opportunity to make it happen!
Falkirk Council is working alongside Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership to launch the Community Choices initiative – a fund of over £3 million over two years where you can apply for funding to bring about the changes that will make a difference to your community.
Community Choices will let communities across the Falkirk Council area decide how money is spent in your neighbourhood. They believe that communities know what’s best for them – and what is needed to improve the quality of life for residents. Community Choices wants to capture that local ambition and aspiration and encourage communities to be directly involved in delivering the services that are important to you. The fund aims to support proposals that can make your area Fairer, Healthier, more Connected and more Inclusive.
Clubs, organisations, community groups and even individuals can apply for funding to make these changes happen:
Smaller budget proposals (up to £1500) can apply to the Small Grants Programme.
Bigger projects (over £5,000) can apply to the Capital Grants Programme.
How it works:
Initial expressions of interest should be submitted by Friday 5th March.
An Advisory Panel will consider each proposal and support those going forward to a public vote.
- Detailed submissions should be submitted by Friday 9th April.
- The public vote will run from Monday 26th April to Friday 14th May with successful proposals announced shortly afterwards.
